Navigation in Chat room
Once logged in right clicking mouse in input bar will provide a context menu for audio emoticons and graphic emoticons.
Right clicking in the chat text area will provide a context menu for Font size, Color, Timestamp on/off, Audio on/off, Float/Dock on/off, Help, or Logout.
Refreshing screen or closing window will cause logout. Left clicking image will take you to Section homepage. Currently available chat rooms are Main, Board of Directors and Officers Chat etiquette
Just like at a cocktail party, there is a proper way to behave when chatting with people on the Internet. If you do not respect the rules in a chat room, you could be banned from chatting in the room in the future.
Typing
While usually unintentional, typing in all caps or with the Caps Lock key on is considered the on-screen version of yelling.
Respect language
People from many different countries may use chat to communicate. This means many chat rooms might be used by people who do not speak the same language as you. When you join a chat room, respect the language being used in the room. If you want to discuss the topic in your own language, you may be able to start a new room for people who speak the same language as you.
Avoid offensive language
Keep in mind that people of all ages and backgrounds use chat rooms. Do not use offensive language or annoy other people in the chat room. If another person is annoying you or using offensive language, you should ignore them.
Read conversation before participating
When you first enter a chat room, read the conversation in progress for a moment. This allow you to understand what is going on before you begin participating.
Use common sense
When chatting, do not reveal too much information about yourself, such as your e-mail address, phone number, password or credit card number. Remember that people in a chat room are not always who they say they are.
Do not advertise
Never enter a chat room with the intention of promoting your business, product or services. In most cases, people in a chat room are interested in talking with other people, not reading advertisements.
