August 6, 2011 Golf Scramble
We had fun once again this year on a beautiful Puget Sound day.
Our annual PNW ASNT Golf Tournament was held at Madronna
Links Golf Course in Gig Harbor Washington again this year and we realized this is the 30th anniversary of the tournament here for the Pacific Northwest section.
It was a great chance for all the hard working NDT professionals to put aside their inspection work and have a day of just having fun and seeing old friends, although some of us are feeling a little older than others. The golf format was a scramble (or best ball) which takes
the pressure off the
golfer and allowed us to focus on just having a great time. The Pacific Northwest weather was good to us
and was just perfect for golf, which in the northwest means a little overcast
and a little cooler. There were 46 golfers this year and some great prizes and
cash awards for closest to the Pin and Longest Drive as well as some other
contests. The Hole in One prize of
$10,000 was safe again this year since nobody had an ace on hole
#2. We really want to say a big thank
you to all of our sponsors this year.
Your help makes it possible to have such a fun event each year. Thank you to the following sponsors... MPM Products and Met-L-Check Penetrants (thank you for
